Eagleville Hospital is a non-profit organization that, since it's inception as a tuberculosis sanitarium, provides care to those less fortunate. Our patients come to us at the lowest points in their lives and often need more than drug and alcohol treatment. Some need clothing to keep warm; some need deodorant and a toothbrush; some need to complete their education so they can begin to take steps forward; some need a quiet space or to sleep in a warm bed after being homeless for days, months or years. The Development Office at Eagleville Hospital solicits and maintains responsibility for stewardship of all contributions.
Ways of Giving
There are two distinct ways of giving: Immediate Impact and Deferred or Planned Giving.Immediate Impact Giving helps the clients who are currently in treatment.
Deferred or Planned Giving helps ensure the future of our programs.
Designation of Gifts
Gifts may be designated to several funds or may be undesignated. An undesignated gift is given to the fund that the Development Office deems as most necessary at the time. You may designate your gift to:
The Patient Emergency Fund
Some men and women arrive at Eagleville homeless, alienated from their families, owning only the clothes they are wearing. The fund provides eyeglasses, personal care items, clothing, shoes and transportation costs.
Patients often lack basic educational skills. Donations are sound for our winning education program where clients receive testing and tutoring to help prepare for their General Education Development (GED) test. Each GED test cost $70. Certified teachers and trained, supervised, dedicated volunteers provide individual teaching. Between 1985 and 2006, 580 patients received their high school diploma.
The Eagleville Serenity Garden provides an opportunity for patients, staff and visitors to recognize special individuals, memorialize family members and friends, and take pleasure in the beauty of nature. Donations are sought to defray the cost of planting trees, plants and flowers, installing benches, paving the walkways, as well as other garden needs and annual maintenance.
